Tova's Cinnamon Twists
My daughter-in-law never arrives empty-handed when she visits. These cinnamon twists are so satisfying, and perfect with a cup of coffee.
INGREDIENTS:
Cookies:
- 3 eggs
- 1 cup sugar
- 3/4 cup oil
- 3 cups flour
- 2 teaspoons baking powder
- 2 teaspoons orange juice
Topping:
- 1/2 cup sugar
- 1 tablespoon cinnamon
DIRECTIONS:
- Preheat oven to 375° F
- Line a few cookie sheets with parchment paper
- Mix together eggs, oil and sugar
- Add the rest of the cookie ingredients and mix to combine well
- Roll out one tablespoon of dough at a time, and form each into a rope
- Roll each rope in the topping mixture
- Fold and twist each rope
- Place twists about 1 inch apart on prepared cookie sheets
- Bake for 12 - 14 minutes
Makes about 3 dozen
